Our Story

We’re Katie and Beth – two mums, two friends, and now the co-founders of Tinker & Tot.

We’ve worked side-by-side for over six years, building a brilliant working relationship (and a lovely friendship) along the way. Although we live more than 250 miles apart, we’ve always made a great team – proof that distance means very little when you’re on the same page.

We each have two children of our own, and like so many parents, we’ve spent years curating spaces and choosing toys that spark joy, inspire curiosity, and actually last. So when we were made redundant in 2025, we took a leap – not just to build a business, but to create something that felt truly ours.

That’s how Tinker & Tot began.

We wanted to bring together a shop full of thoughtfully chosen playthings, keepsakes, and essentials – the kind that blend whimsy with practicality and fit beautifully into the rhythm of everyday family life. Inspired by nature and grounded in a soft, calming style, every product we stock has been handpicked with purpose.
